Welcome to Mary Lu’s home in cyberspace. Please excuse
any scattered words and dangling paragraphs. Authors tend to get
lost in creativity and forget to sweep away the excess. Please feel
free to roam through the rooms of this abode and check out the
furnishing, pictures, and information.
Mary Lu’s latest book, Michael's
Angel, is a modern Christmas time story of loss, hope, and
renewel. The narrative follows the efforts of Gus, a
struggling guardian Angel and his latest assignment, Michael
Dennison. Gus thought he had an easy job until
Michael's mother dies when he is ten. Michael has
no idea where his father is, Christmas is just around the corner,
and to Gus's consternation, Michael is acutally able to see and hear
him - which should never happen to a guardian angel! Gus
is determined to guide Michael to the safety of children's services,
while Michael is even more determined to find his father
instead. Matters escalate as Michael becomes a witness to a
murder. Freezing, without food, determined to find a father
he's never known and avoid discovery by both criminals and the law,
Michael has become a charge the likes of which Gus has never
seen. Through the trials and near misses with Michael's father
that ensue, an angel may have to learn some things about faith and
hope from a ten year old boy, to see the light of God's
grace.
